Our Journey Through Time
On Saturday, July 12th, 1958 at 8:30 p.m. in the Gasthaus zur Krone the 1st FC 1958 Schwabsburg launched.
The beginning of this foundation is so extraordinary that it should definitely be mentioned:
The healthy thing about any foundation is that the impetus and initiative came from the youth. Nobody would have thought that the echo would be as great as the two young players Werner Römer and Norbert Kröhler auditioned on their own in the local government and presented a quick text in which a meeting was invited to found a football club.
It should be noted that it was not a very simple thing and that such an action requires real sporting enthusiasm. The impetus was given – and the Schwabsburgers proved grateful. Within a fortnight it was time to convene the official founding meeting after previous meetings, which also led to a positive result.
35 attendees made their membership known on the issued list of members by signature. Sportkamerad Karl Strub opened the meeting, at which the statutes were discussed and all paragraphs explained individually.
Black and white have been thought out in the club colors. The team’s colors were white jersey and black pants.
